Patients always ask my staff and myself; what are the questions they should
ask when interviewing a plastic surgeon? Questions you should ask your
cosmetic surgeon during your consultation are one; is he board certified by
The American Board of Plastic Surgery?
Number two; is he or she able to obtain privileges in performing this
cosmetic surgical procedure at a major hospital? Thirdly; how many of these
procedures does he or she regularly perform? And finally; will your surgeon
be intimately involved with each step of your preoperative, intraoperative,
and postoperative course, including regularly seeing you in the
postoperative period?
