Brow Lift Fort Worth

The eyes have often been called the “windows” of the soul. While bright, open eyes and arching brows exude happiness and youth, droopy, heavy eyelids and brows convey a tired and sad look. In addition, our eyes are often what begin to show our age first. The effects of time, gravity, the Texas sun, and seasonal allergies gradually cause fine lines and wrinkles in and around the eyelids, forming crow’s feet and leading to drooping of the eyelids and eyebrows.

Simple preventative measures like wearing sunglasses, sunscreen use, and eye cream application may decelerate the signs of aging. Once the signs of aging have set in though, advanced non-surgical treatments like BOTOX® Cosmetic, dermal fillers, and Retin A may reverse some of them. However, when the lines become more pronounced, the skin begins to droop and fall; surgery is often required to reverse these signs of aging. Surgeries designed to improve the eye region include blepharoplasty (eyelid rejuvenation) and brow lift.

Brow lifts, offered to our Keller, Fort Worth, and Southlake-area patients, are designed to raise the eyebrows, improve their shape, and reduce forehead lines and wrinkles. In our practice brow lifts are mostly performed through small incisions in the hair-bearing scalp and are performed with the use of an endoscope (camera). Recovery from surgery is generally well tolerated with only minimal pain and some swelling. The swelling usually begins to subside within the first several days. Patients will be thrilled with their new bright eyed look and how the years have been taken off of their face.
